Donald Lichtenstein, professor of marketing at the CU-Boulder Leeds School of Business, will receive the 2004 Fordham Lifetime Achievement Award in Behavioral Pricing Research in October.

The award is presented annually to an individual that has made significant research contributions related to understanding how consumers respond to aspects of pricing.

Lichtenstein's research centers on consumer perceptions of price advertising, price-quality relationships, sales promotion techniques and "deal proneness." His work has been featured in a number of journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Research and the Journal of Marketing.

Lichtenstein was selected by a panel of prior recipients of the award following an international nomination process.

Lichtenstein received his doctorate from the University of South Carolina in 1984 and joined the CU-Boulder marketing division in 1988.

The award will be presented at the Seventh Annual Fordham Pricing Conference on Oct. 29-30 at the Fordham Campus in New York City. Details are available at .
