The CU Parents Association has awarded $46,000 in scholarships to 46 undergraduate students at the University of Colorado at Boulder, according to Peter Simons, director of the Office of Parent Relations.

The scholarship awards are merit-based and are presented each spring. The scholarships are made possible by CU Parents Association fund-raising efforts. Interested students must complete and submit an application by early March.

This year, $22,000 in scholarships was awarded to 22 incoming freshmen. Another $24,000 in scholarships was awarded to 24 continuing students.

Incoming freshmen can apply for the scholarships via the CU Parents Association Web site at . Scholarships to continuing students are awarded through the CU-Boulder Alumni Association at .
