The Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Colorado at Boulder's Leeds School of Business has been ranked 15th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report in its 2005 Best Graduate Schools edition, up from 17th in the 2004 ranking.

This year's ranking marks the fifth consecutive year the program has been ranked among the top 20 programs nationally.

"Our students, faculty and staff are passionate about entrepreneurship," said Kathryn Simon, director of the Leeds School's Robert H. and Beverly A. Deming Center for Entrepreneurship. "It's that passion that propels CU's entrepreneurship program into the top 20 ranking."

Simon said the center's goal is to "have a profound impact on preparing students with an entrepreneurial mindset to pursue careers with new and emerging growth companies." The center also is a catalyst for and supporter of research and discovery in the field of entrepreneurship.

The Deming Center for Entrepreneurship was founded in 1996 to offer a world-class entrepreneurship curriculum and experiences, combined with research on topics relevant and useful to entrepreneurs.

The Deming Center creates a "connected learning environment" via established relationships in business and is a comprehensive and valued resource for students, faculty and the entrepreneurial community, said Simon.
