Different views on affirmative action policies and practices will be presented by representatives from several University of Colorado at Boulder organizations in a public forum on March 3.

The event, "Affirmative Action at CU-Boulder: Moving From Debate to Dialogue," begins at 5:30 p.m. in University Memorial Center room 235. The forum is a collaborative venture between the CU Dialogue Network, the Access to Education Alliance, the College Republicans and the Underrepresented Student Group Council.

The discussion will feature six student panelists representing a range of political perspectives. Members of the CU Dialogue Network will moderate the forum and facilitate small group discussions.

According to Jennifer Simpson, CU Dialogue Network coordinator, the goal of the event is to create an environment where members of the campus and broader community "can engage thoughtfully and respectfully in exploring the intricacies of this highly personal and often emotionally charged issue."

The CU Dialogue Network is composed of faculty, staff and students committed to engaging the campus community in important and challenging conversations in a constructive and productive environment. For more information visit the Web site at .
