University of Colorado at Boulder Community Relations and Moe's Broadway Bagel are sponsoring a book drive with free bagels at Boulder Moe's stores from Feb. 23 through Feb. 27 in connection with the National Education Association's Read Across America Day on March 2.
People who bring in new or gently used children's books to either of the Boulder Moe's locations will receive a free bagel with cream cheese. The offer is limited to one bagel per customer per visit.
The books will be donated to school literacy programs, Dental Aid locations, The Children's Hospital and area shelters. Last year's book drive collected more than 600 books. The drive is one of several events planned by the university in conjunction with the National Education Association's Read Across America Day, celebrating reading and Dr. Seuss' birthday.
