An estimated 9,000 people are expected to attend the winter commencement ceremony at the University of Colorado at Boulder on Dec. 19 and those planning to drive should arrive early.

Commencement begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Coors Events/Conference Center. It is recommended that guests arrive well before 9 a.m. Early arrival will give all guests time to be in their seats by 9:10 a.m. and will avoid delaying the ceremony.

The majority of parking for the ceremony will be in the Regent Drive Autopark, just south of Colorado Avenue. Free parking for guests also will be available in other lots near the Events/Conference Center and at campus meters.

The meters along Regent Drive and lots 430 and 440 northeast of the Events/Conference Center will be reserved for elderly and disabled guests.

A drop-off area in lot 420, immediately north of the Events/Conference Center, will have courtesy wheelchairs available for those who have difficulty walking to their seats. Access to lot 420 will be available for drop-off only.

Additional parking is available in the Euclid Autopark, a pay parking lot on Euclid Avenue just off Broadway on the CU-Boulder campus.

More information about campus parking is available on the Web at or by calling (303) 492-2322.
