The unique properties of water will be the subject of the CU Wizards show "H2O!" on Saturday, Nov. 15.

University of Colorado at Boulder Professor Casey Hynes will present the show at 9:30 a.m. in Cristol Chemistry and Biochemistry room 140. The show is aimed at students in grades five through nine and is free and open to the public.

During the presentation Hynes, who teaches in CU-Boulder's chemistry and biochemistry department, will explore the important properties of water from a chemistry point of view and will demonstrate why water reacts to heat, cold and other stimulus.

The next Wizards show, "Boom! The Physics of Sound and Air Pressure," will be presented by Senior Instructor Michael Dubson on Dec. 20.
