Representatives of the Boulder County Health Department will test a mass immunization plan in a simulated exercise at the University of Colorado at Boulder today at 11 a.m.

The test of a simulated mass immunization of 8,000 students and several hundred CU-Boulder staff members will be at the Coors Events/Conference Center on campus.

The Boulder County Health Department's communicable disease division will have from 11 to 15 nurses and eight health department volunteers on hand in addition to several CU-Boulder staff members to enact a simulated immunization of students and staff as part of the campus's emergency preparedness training. The training exercise began on Wednesday under the direction of Tom Carney, CU-Boulder emergency management coordinator.
