The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder is accepting nominations for the Leeds Summit Award for Social Impact.

The first of its kind in the nation, the Leeds Summit Awards program will recognize companies that use social initiatives to increase business performance.

To be eligible for the Leeds Summit Award for Social Impact, candidates must be U.S.-based, publicly traded companies that demonstrate innovative and far-reaching impacts to employees, shareholders, customers and communities through corporate initiatives.

Examples of such initiatives include diversity practices, encouraging involvement in the community and innovative employee practices within the organization such as on-site daycare.

A list of eligible nominators and printable nomination forms can be found online at . All materials are due by June 15, 2003. The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Oct. 23, 2003.

The Summit Awards program supports the Leeds School's mission of advancing the connection between business and society.
