Seniors in Assistant Professor Kendra Gale's advertising campaign class at the University of Colorado at Boulder will present their communication plan for an illuminated flying disc -- a disc with fiber optic lights powered by a small battery -- on Tuesday, April 29, at 3:30 p.m. in room 425 of the University Memorial Center.

The advertising project was developed for "Flashflight," a Boulder startup company owned by Jeff Scott and Jerry Moore, and a division of Playhard Inc.

The campaign was researched and created by 15 students in the senior capstone course. Observers have said the disc looks like "a UFO at night." It will be demonstrated during the presentation.

According to Gale, the project was an excellent collaborative experience between the students and an actual client that will utilize the campaign in future business plans.

Scott and Moore will be available for comment at the presentation.

Reporters and photographers are welcome to attend the presentation. Contact Gale in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at (303) 735-2940 to confirm or for more information, or call Monteith Mitchell in the CU-Boulder Office of News Services at (303) 492-5526.
