CEOs and founders of Medtronic, Ball Corp. and other leading companies will discuss lessons learned from their successful business careers with CU-Boulder students at lectures throughout the spring semester.Ìý

The Fortune 500 executives and entrepreneurs will speak at class lectures of the Profiles in Business and Society course.

The course, which has been offered at CU since 1988, recently revised its title from Profiles in American Enterprise to reflect the Leeds School's focus on the connection between business and society. The new title also reflects the global perspective that many of the featured corporations are now pursuing.

"The speakers talk to students about their successes and failures and help them make the most of their education and career opportunities," said Kristen Hislop, director of the program.

The speakers offer students exposure to real-world business experiences and issues. The course is a requirement for business majors.

The talks are open to the public on a space-available basis in room 100 of the Mathematics Building on the CU-Boulder campus. If that room is full, the class also may be viewed via live video feed in room G1B30 in the Duane Physics building. Room G1B30 is located on the ground level of the G wing.

The following executives will speak from 3:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. on
