Fans traveling to home CU football games are encouraged to use RTD's BuffRide, which provides a hassle-free alternative to driving and avoids the expense of increased parking fees.

This year parking fees for football games are $10 per space and campus parking lots have 200 fewer spaces making availability tight, according to Mark Stevens, CU-Boulder's Parking and Transit Outreach Coordinator.

"CU and RTD are collaborating to provide stress-free alternatives to driving so we can get the most fans at football games," Stevens said. "The BuffRide is a fun, fast and environmentally friendly way to enjoy the game."

Riders in the Denver metro area and Longmont can ride to-and-from the game for $6. RTD also offers the Boulder Buff Shuttle from the Table Mesa Park-n-Ride for $3 per round-trip.

Fans taking the bus get to the stadium more quickly, Stevens said, because BuffRide drops off and picks up just outside Folsom Field and it skips the long lines of vehicles waiting to get into Boulder and onto campus.

Two hours before kick-off, buses begin departing from the Park-n-Rides at Avoca, Cold Spring, Nine Mile, Southmoor, I-25/Broadway, Wagon Road, Thornton, Westminster Center, Broomfield, Superior/Louisville and Roosevelt and from the Longmont Terminal.

Buses run until 75-90 minutes before kick-off and they leave 45 minutes after the game ends. Call (303) 299-6000 for exact times. Passes, coupons and tokens are not accepted for the BuffRide service.
