Editors: Reporters can arrange meetings with some of these business leaders before or after their lectures. Contact Kristen Hislop at (303) 492-7800 to make arrangements.

CEOs and founders of Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Coors Brewing, Intrado, Office Depot and other leading companies will discuss lessons learned from their successful business careers with CU-Boulder students at lectures throughout the fall semester.Ìý

The Fortune 500 executives and entrepreneurs will speak at class lectures of the Profiles in American Enterprise course offered by the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

"Having leading executives from a variety of industries speak to students helps students get a sense of the various opportunities and challenges the world of business offers," said Kristen Hislop, director of the program. "The executives give them insight into decision-making processes and offer guidance on career choices. Current issues are brought into the classroom on a weekly basis, bringing practice to the theories."

Speakers also include executives from REI, the Mayo Foundation, the Los Angeles Times and StorageTek. The course is a requirement for business majors.

Non-students may attend the classes on a space-available basis in room 100 of the Math building on the CU-Boulder campus. If that room is full, the speeches may also be viewed via a live video feed in room G1B30 in the Duane Physics Building, also on the Boulder campus. Room G1B30 is located on the ground level of the G wing in the Physics building.
