Deana Perlmutter, senior vice president and manager of the Dutko Group Cos.-Denver, has joined the CU-Boulder Natural Resources Law Center Advisory Board.

"Deana has been a strong force for regulatory and policy change to encourage and assist industries in utilizing advanced technologies," said center Director Jim Martin. "She has worked closely with senior officials throughout the federal, state and local government, making her a valuable addition to our already strong board."

Perlmutter specializes in national energy and environmental technology policy with a particular focus on sustainability. She assists clients in the regulatory and policy arenas in applying technological solutions to environmental challenges and in developing public policy initiatives through partnerships between government and private industry.

She served as the key industry liaison to the White House Conferences on Environmental Technology and is one of the principal architects of the Partnership for Advanced Technology in Housing program, a presidential initiative to accelerate the development and use of advanced technologies to improve the quality, durability, environmental efficiency and affordability of housing.

The Dutko Group Cos. Inc. is a public policy management company based in Washington, D.C., which helps to resolve conflicts between public policy and business concerns.

The Natural Resources Law Center is a research and educational program at the University of Colorado School of Law. The mission of the center is to promote sustainability in the rapidly changing American West by informing and influencing natural resource laws, policies and decisions through a comprehensive program of research, education and advice. The center marks its 20th anniversary this year.
