A roundtable discussion on the experiences of graduates and teachers of the Boulder Japanese Language School during World War II and afterward will be held at the University of Colorado at Boulder on June 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at Old Main Chapel.

According to Lynn Kalinauskas, associate director of the Center for Asian Studies, graduates of the Boulder Navy Language School played a key role in establishing the field of Japanese Studies in the post-war period, as well as contributing to U.S.-Japanese relations in various other fields.
