The CU Parents Association at the University of Colorado at Boulder will host a series of orientation dinners for parents of incoming students in June and July at the University Club.

The dinners coincide with orientation sessions for new freshmen and transfer students and will provide opportunities for new CU-Boulder parents to become acquainted with the association's board members, the Office of Parent Relations and staff from student affairs programs and services.

The dinners are barbecues held on the lawn of the University Club from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. They will feature entertainment provided by students and also offer opportunities to meet and greet parents from around the world.

The dinners will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings on June 13, June 17, June 20, June 24, June 27, July 8, July 11, July 15 and July 18.

Parents of undergraduate students at the university automatically become members of the CU Parents Association. No fees or dues are required.

The Parents Association provides a variety of services to parents, students, faculty and the campus administration, including scholarships and grants. The popular fall Parents Weekend, usually attended by more than 6,000 parents, students and family members, will be held Oct. 25-26 this year. The Parents Weekend information line is (303) 735-4020.
