The University of Colorado at Boulder will hold a public meeting on the Williams Village student housing expansion project on May 30 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the University Memorial Center, room 235.

According to Derrick Watson, project manager, the purpose of the meeting is to provide information on construction logistics and timetables.Ìý

Residents were introduced to the new developer, American Campus Communities, at an April meeting. Construction is scheduled to begin in early June and a public groundbreaking ceremony will be held later in the month. More details will be available soon.

American Campus Communities plans to make 496 beds available for occupancy in 2003 and 496 more in 2004, for a total of 992 beds. Housing for an additional 1,000 students would be available in fall 2008, given favorable market conditions.
