CU-Boulder students have selected four faculty members to receive the 2002 Teacher Recognition Awards, organized and administered by undergraduate student members of the CU-Boulder Alumni Association, on May 7.

The four will be honored at the 72nd Annual Alumni Association Awards Ceremony at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, in the Old Main Chapel on the Boulder campus.

Recipients of this year's Teacher Recognition Awards are Richard Clelland, assistant professor of mathematics; Roland Paris, assistant professor of political science and international affairs; Richard Rogers, professor of sociology; and Thomas Schacht, assistant professor adjunct of mechanical engineering.

The faculty members were nominated by student members of the Herd, the student group of the CU-Boulder Alumni Association, and selected through a student review process. Each will receive a $1,500 award funded by the CU Parents Association and the CU-Boulder Alumni Association's Directors Club.

This is the 40th year the awards have been given.
