The Bursar's Office at the University of Colorado at Boulder is offering two new services that will enable students and other student-approved payers to receive monthly tuition and fee bills over the Web.Ìý

The Bursar's Office also will give students the opportunity to submit payments online from checking or savings accounts, using an electronic interface.

The E-Bill service is set up by students through the Personal Look-Up Services, or PLUS, and allows the student access to his or her tuition bill on the Web. Â鶹ÒùÔº also will be given a pin number to allow another party, such as parents, viewing and payment access to the account. Information on the two parties' individual bank accounts -- parents' and students' -- will not be shared.

The payment only option also is available. This option allows payments to be made electronically, but does not allow access to the tuition bill information.

"I expect to see a dramatic shift in the way students and parents interact with our staff," said Kris McCandless, Bursar. "As more people manage their accounts and pay tuition bills online, our staff will have more time to dedicate to customers who have unique questions or special situations."

The tuition bills seen on-line are in the same format as the paper statement that continues to be sent by mail. This free service is completely paperless and provides the convenience of Web-based electronic payment.
