Sky watchers of all ages will have a chance to clarify common misunderstandings of astronomical topics during the live show "Revealing Astronomical Misconceptions" at Fiske Planetarium.

Sanlyn Buxner, an education specialist for Fiske Planetarium at the University of Colorado at Boulder, will present the show on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

"This is an introductory show about astronomy where we will be answering the questions you always wanted to ask, like why is the sky blue?" Buxner said.

Some of the show's topics include why there are moon phases and different seasons, how telescopes work and how astronomers get pictures back from space. Buxner also will clarify common misconceptions about such topics as black holes and stars.

Fiske Planetarium's monthly live shows give the audience a chance to talk to numerous experts from CU-Boulder.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for seniors and children. Fiske Planetarium is located at Regent Drive and Kittredge Loop Drive on the CU-Boulder campus.
