Ron Stump, vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of Colorado at Boulder, announced today that Deborah Coffin has been named Interim Director of Housing effective Dec. 1.

The appointment is pending approval of Chancellor Richard Byyny.

Coffin was assistant director of housing at CU-Boulder and has many years of experience in higher education student housing.

Prior to joining the CU-Boulder Department of Housing administration in June, she was director of housing at the University of Northern Colorado for three years and served as director of housing for the University of Wyoming from l995 to l998. She brings a total of 20 years of experience in student housing to the CU-Boulder position.

"Since her arrival, Deb has emerged as a leader for the Department of Housing," said Stump. "I am confident she will be successful in her role as interim director of housing." Coffin succeeds Carl Jardine.

The CU-Boulder Department of Housing is a $40 million a year operation that accommodates approximately 6,000 students living on campus.
