The CU Parents Association at the University of Colorado at Boulder will host a series of orientation dinners for parents of incoming students in June and July at the University Club.

The dinners coincide with orientation sessions for new freshmen and transfer students and provide opportunities for new CU-Boulder parents to become acquainted with the association's board members, the Office of Parent Relations and staff from student affairs programs and services.

The dinners, which are barbecues that are traditionally held on the lawn of the University Club, feature entertainment provided by students and also offer opportunities to meet and greet parents from around the world.

The summer dinner orientation sessions will be on Thursday, June 14, Monday, June 18, Thursday, June 21, Monday, June 25, Thursday, June 28, Monday, July 9, Thursday, July 12, Monday, July 16 and Thursday, July 19. All sessions will be held at the University Club from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Parents of undergraduate students enrolled at the university automatically become members of the CU Parents Association. No fees or dues are required.

The association provides a variety of services to parents, students, faculty and the campus administration and sponsors numerous activities, including parent panels for recruiting programs, regional parent programs, scholarships and grants. The popular fall Parents Weekend, usually attended by more than 6,000 parents, students and family members, will be held Sept. 21-23 this year.
