The University of Colorado at Boulder will host the 2001 Summer Boulder Campus Blood Drive in the south parking lot of the Administrative and Research Center, 3100 Marine St., on the East Campus.

The blood drive is open to the public and will be held June 15 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Those interested in donating should sign up for an appointment by calling (303) 492-5473 through June 14 at 3 p.m.

All donors are required to be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and not be in a risk-behavior group. Donors should eat within four hours of donating blood and drink plenty of fluids before and after the process, which takes about 45 minutes.

The blood will be distributed by the Belle Bonfils Blood Center in Denver, which supplies blood to about 80 hospitals and health care facilities throughout Colorado. Each donor's blood can help between one to three patients in need of blood.

The drive is sponsored by the CU-Boulder Staff Council and the Belle Bonfils Community Blood Center. For more information contact the CU-Boulder Staff Council at (303) 492-5473.

The Administration and Research Center at 3100 Marine St. is east of 30th Street just south of Arapahoe Avenue.
