The University of Colorado Student Union in collaboration with the fraternities and sororities of the University of Colorado at Boulder are sponsoring "Farrand Field Fest 2001" to take place on Tuesday, April 17.

The event is designed to recognize the student groupsÂ’ positive involvement in the local community as well as on the CU-Boulder campus.

Farrand Field Fest will run from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the east end of Farrand Field on the CU-Boulder campus. It will include music provided by KVCU, free pizza and pop, booths displaying the philanthropic deeds of fraternities and sororities and a variety of sporting competitions conducted by Greeks, which are open to the public.

The day is a prelude to Greek Week, a week which brings fraternities and sororities together to celebrate being Greek through various competitions.
