WHERE: Boulder Shelter for the Homeless

4645 N. Broadway, Boulder

WHY: Blankets, coats and winter outerwear have been collected on campus through the CU-Boulder Winter Warmth Drive assisting more than 20 Boulder County organizations that serve families and individuals in need. The blankets will be used at the shelter and distributed to homeless individuals who are unable to go the shelter. This year the Homeless Shelter has a shortage of blankets.

In addition to the blankets, more than 300 coats have been collected on campus. The coats and winter outerwear will be distributed to area non-profit groups that aid low-income families and individuals through the Boulder Valley Rotary ClubÂ’s "Coats for Kids/Share a Coat" program. The Boulder Cleaners and Le Cleaners have donated their services to clean the coats before they are distributed.
