Professor James Whiteside of the University of Colorado at Denver will give a lecture on "Sports, Culture, and Politics in Colorado" Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. on the Front Range Community College campus in Longmont.
Whiteside is the author of "Colorado: A Sports History." A slide show will be presented as part of the program and a reception will follow. The event is free and open to the public.
The lecture is part of a new history lecture series co-sponsored by the University of Colorado at Boulder聮s Office of Community Affairs and Front Range Community College. Two more lectures will be held later in the semester.
