The University of Colorado at Boulder Office of Community Relations and Moe's Broadway Bagel are sponsoring a book drive at Moe's Boulder stores, Feb. 28 through March 3, in connection with Read Across America Day on March 2.

Anyone who brings in a new or slightly used children's book to any of the three Boulder stores will receive a free bagel and cream cheese. The offer is limited to one bagel per customer per day.

"Reading is essential for a child's development and imagination," said Moe's Marketing Director Steve Sheldon. "Moe's is more than happy to offer a small incentive if it will help to get more books to more children."

The books will be donated to local schools, shelters and early learning centers. The book drive is one of several events in Boulder observing the National Education Association's Read Across America Day, this year celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday.
