WHO: Faculty from the CU-Boulder department of theatre and dance will host students from Heritage High School in Littleton and Sierra High School in Colorado Springs.

WHAT: "High School Day" will feature workshops that focus on improvisation, movement and vocal methods in acting; techniques in designing and building costumes for the "Skin of Our Teeth" production (including the use of soft sculpture models, wig building and the use of a variety of fabrics); and technical theatre elements which include the use of automated lighting systems and scenic elements for this production. The students will also be attending the CU department of theatre and dance performance of "Skin of Our Teeth," later in the day.

* Scenery and lighting from "Skin of Our Teeth" workshop on the Main Stage with Robert Bovard, Bruce Bergner, Steven McDonald and CU student designers

WHY: "High School Day" gives high school students and teachers the opportunity to get in-depth insight from the CU theatre departmentÂ’s production of Thornton WilderÂ’s "Skin of Our Teeth," by meeting the faculty and students who designed it, as well as attending workshops that focus on the performance and teach new ideas in theatre.
