Top executives from Nissan and Inacom Corp. will discuss their successful business careers with CU-Boulder students enrolled in the Profiles in American Enterprise class this fall.
John Hess, a professor at the College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado at Boulder, brings highly successful CEOs and entrepreneurs to class lectures as part of the Profiles course.
In addition to lectures, students attend weekly recitation sections led by former students who have taken a special semester-long class in preparation. "By hearing about the successes and pitfalls of the countryÂ’s most dynamic businesspeople, students learn about the intricacies of world business," explained Hess.
The following business leaders will be speaking from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays in room 100 of the Math building on the CU-Boulder campus.
Nov. 1 – Jed Connelly, vice president and general manager of Nissan North America, Inc., a subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
Nov. 8 – George J. Harad, chairman and CEO of Boise Cascade Corp., an integrated forest and paper products company that has diversified its operations through its three main divisions: paper, building and office products.
Nov. 22 --– Richard C. Green Jr., chairman and CEO of Utilicorp United, Inc., a family-controlled energy company providing electricity for four generations.
Nov. 29 – Bill L. Fairfield, president and CEO of Inacom Corp., one of the largest diversified computer distribution and service-oriented companies in the United States.
