Mansoori, 19, is a molecular, cellular and developmental biology major with a 3.9 grade-point average. Schmid, 31, is majoring in journalism with an emphasis in advertising and maintaining a 4.0 grade-point average.

Scholarship awards are based on the applicant's biographical statement, which accompanies all applications, the applicant's grade-point average and academic financial need. In addition, all applicants must be full-time degree students during the semester of the scholarship award and must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of course work on the Boulder campus.

The Center for Educational and Career Transitions is accepting applications for Spring 2000 semester awards, which are available at Counseling Services in Willard Administrative Center, room 134. The deadline to apply for the spring semester is Oct. 1.
