WHEN: Friday, March 19

The CU bus will arrive at the Eldora parking lot at approximately 9:30 a.m., students will unload and go to the new lodge (see below) for donuts and ski equipment. Skiing lessons will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. After the lessons, 12:00 noon, the group will meet for pizza in the same room and then ski until around 3:30 p.m., when the CU bus returns to pickup the group. The bus departs from Eldora at 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Eldora Ski Resort

The bus will unload outside the main ski lodge. The CU Ski Club is using the new addition to the lodge as their headquarters for the day. It is located just uphill, to your left if you are looking at the front door of the original ski lodge. Morning ski lessons will take place on the far left bunny hill, if you are standing in the parking lot, looking at the ski mountain.

WHY: The CU Ski & Snowboard Club promotes these winter activities to students on the Boulder campus. The Club members wanted to share their passion for these sports with members of the community who donÂ’t readily have access to them. The FLC after-school program works with at-risk youth to improve academic achievement, reduce the dropout rate and prevent youth crime and violence in our community through the provision of educational programs that enhance the studentsÂ’ mental, physical and social skills.
