University staff are at-will employees and can leave their position at any time. When possible, please provide at least two weeks' notice before your departure to allow the department to plan accordingly.Ìý
Vacation time may be used for up to four weeks after the employee's last day of work. Ensure that you are requesting a last day that includes any vacation time you plan to use before departure.ÌýÂ
Please note that you will be paid 100% of remaining vacation balance up to your accrual maximum. Â
Write a letter of resignation to notify your supervisor of your leaving.Ìý
Include your expected last day of work.ÌýÂ
If you are transferring within the university system, include a statement in your letter to ensure proper payout and transfer of benefits.Ìý
Work with your supervisor on how to communicate departure with your team.Ìý
Turn in your PCard and/or travel card and add delegate in Concur.Ìý
Ensure your home address is up to date in the CU portal.Ìý
Remove personal items from your workspace.Ìý
Complete the exit survey when you receive it from SA HR.Ìý
You may request an individual meeting with SA HR if you wish before your departure.ÌýÂ
On your last day or work, turn in university property (i.e., laptop, phone, uniform, etc.).Ìý
Review with supervisor and turn in final evaluation.
Unused vacation time will be paid out up to maximum allotment available.
