Shakespeare's Flowers - Lauryn Iverson
Media Art installation
Three short Shakespeare scenes filmed and designed from the inspiration of different flowers.
Shakespeare's Flowers
“Shakespeare’s Flowers” is a series of 3 short Shakespeare scenes featuring one of Shakespeare’s ingenues. The scenes include setting up the sheep shearing event in The Winter’s Tale, the final death scene in Romeo and Juliet, and Ophelia’s flower scene in Hamlet. Each character design is based off a flower that reflects them, which in turn informs the costume/set/makeup design for the short film. They will then be played at a stand at the exhibition, each on separate screens repeating in a decorated area.
