We are excited to welcome you to the Spring 2023 commencement. We want you and your student to enjoy this time of celebration. Here are additional details for the commencement events and planning your visit to Boulder.Ìý

What ceremonies should you attend?

Commencement includes two categories of ceremonies. Â鶹ÒùÔº and families are encouraged to attend both.

The first is the traditional campus-wide ceremony at Folsom Field to celebrate all spring 2023 graduates. During this ceremony degrees are conferred upon students by the Chancellor. All graduates and their families are invited to this event. Â鶹ÒùÔº will receive their diplomas in the mail after commencement.

Our spring commencement also includes recognition ceremonies to honor graduates. Colleges, schools, departments and programs host these celebrations. Your student may be invited to participate in one or more of the recognition ceremonies. During these events, your student will walk and be individually recognized. Recognition ceremonies allow students and families to connect with their community and experience a more individualized ceremony to recognize their accomplishments. Spring Commencement Ceremony details

The Spring Commencement Ceremony will be held Thursday, May 11, at 8:30 a.m. at Folsom Field. The event does not require tickets or registration. This is the traditional ceremony to celebrate the academic accomplishments of all our graduates.Ìý

The commencement ceremony lasts about three hours and features a processional of the graduates, conferral of degrees, remarks from CU leadership and other celebratory elements. Learn more about the .

Be prepared for your visit to Boulder

Commencement creates more traffic in Boulder and on campus. As you prepare to attend events, ensure you leave plenty of time to travel to your destination. If you plan to park on campus for the commencement ceremony, arrive early to accommodate additional traffic. Also, plan your route to walk from the parking lot to the stadium.Ìý
