Colorado winter activities
Hitting the slopes isn’t the only way to experience winter in Colorado. Here are a few ideas to share with your student.
Outdoor activities

Campus activities
- There are plenty of opportunities for your student to cheer on both the throughout the winter season. Families also have the opportunity to join their student at a special home basketball game on March 2, 2019 at Family Day!
- From broomball to hockey to recreational ice skating, your student can easily visit theÌýonly ice rink in Boulder at the Rec Center.
- Fiske Planetarium offers a range of film showings, live talks, laser and liquid sky shows, special live events and more. Upcoming shows this winter include Laser Queen, Solar Superstorms, Laser Gaga and Cosmic Kirtan Connection.
Local events
- Ìýoffers free behind-the-scenes tours of their tea factory. Your student can enjoy lunch at the Celestial Café and stock up on their favorite tea at the Celestial Tea Shop.
