CU Boulder's Kirsi Aulin Honored with IOA's President's Award

Kirsi Aulin, Director of CU Boulder Ombuds Office, received a President's Award from the International Ombuds Association, the group announced in April. The President's Award recognizes distinguished individuals for their commitment to serving the ombuds field and the IOA.Ìý

Aulin was honored for her leadership while serving as a director and president of the Board of Certification for Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioners, the certifying body authorized to award the Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner® credential. Her efforts have been instrumental in shaping the future vision and enhancing the value of the certification program, the program said.Ìý

Upon receiving the award, Aulin expressed her surprise and gratitude, saying "What an unexpected honor! In my work, I just focus on where I can make a difference, and it completely took me by surprise that someone had taken notice." 

The International Ombuds Association is a global professional association dedicated to supporting organizational ombuds. IOA members help others safely navigate conflict and change in various settings, including corporations, educational institutions, non-profits, government entities and nongovernmental organizations.
