Research Interests

Elizabeth's research focuses on modifying membrane surfaces with functional chemistries or nanostructures in order improve their performance in water separation processes. During her undergraduate career she researched how synthetic parameters affected silica nanoparticle material characteristics. Between her undergraduate and graduate career, she worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory as a post baccalaureate intern where she focused on functionalizing polymer surfaces with functional chemistries for robust biosensing applications. Outside of lab she enjoys reading, drawing, playing board games and gardening.
