This form is for CU faculty members to request funding from CLASIC to support CLASIC students engaged in faculty-supervised summer research related to their Capstone projects.
CLASIC faculty as well as faculty in affiliated areas who have inspired a student to apply NLP to their area are eligible. CLASIC can fund two students per summer, but each faculty member may only request support for one ²õ³Ù³Ü»å±ð²Ô³Ù.ÌýApplications must be received before the start of Spring Break.Ìý

CLASIC suggests summer employment of 20h per week for 2½ months. The hourly pay range should be in keeping with Infrastructure Support (Student Assistant 3) or Research Project Lead (Student Assistant 4) employment profiles, depending on the requirements and skills needed for the research.Ìý

After approval, the student will be set up for the summer as a student hourly employee through Linguistics, with the faculty person as their official supervisor.Ìý 

** Prior to submitting this request for funding, please confirm that the student has filled out the CLASIC Professional Internship or Research Agreement (PIRA) form, adquired the necessary signatures, and returned the completed form to their Academic Advisor, Dr. Susan Brown.Ìý
