Membrane technologies for water, energy, and the environment
Our research focuses on emerging technologies for water purification, carbon capture, resource recovery, and energy . Much of our interest lies in utilizing membrane-based processes, which offer advantages in efficiency, size, and scalability. We employ a variety of research methods in our investigations including materials fabrication, advanced characterization techniques, laboratory testing, and simulations. More information about our ongoing research projects is available on our Research Page.
Our group is led by Prof. Anthony Straub in the Environmental Engineering Program and Materials Science and Engineering Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. Information on our group members, including Prof. Straub, can be found on the People Page.
