After graduation, Mohammed took a position at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals back in Saudi Arabia as a lecturer.
Research Bio
My research is focused on implementing Density Functional Theory (DFT) on molecular systems. Particularly, I study the reducing characteristics and the electrochemistry of molecular hydrides. Furthermore, I work on evaluating and improving the accuracy of DFT methods in approximating the unknown exact exchange-correlation potential. This involves benchmarking the current DFT methods against physical constrains and energetic database as well as improving techniques for new methods development.

I am married and a father of one daughter (Wadha). I originally live in the east coast of Saudi Arabia where the weather is absolutely different from Colorado鈥檚 weather (very humid and as hot as 122 oF). Living currently in Colorado, I enjoy the very new experience on the mountains. In my free time, I enjoy reading in history and Arabic literature. I am particularly interested in ancient poetry. One good thing about CU Boulder is that the term 鈥淏oulder鈥� shows up in the most famous poem in the Arabic literature where Imru鈥� al-Qays (the head of Arabic poets) describes his horse that he uses for hunting.
