After graduation, Aaron accepted a postdoctoral fellowship at NREL working on Solid State Theory and Computational Chemistry. Later, he would become a full-time scientist there and have a joint appointment at CU in the Chemical Engineering department. In 2020, he became a Department of Energy Program Manager, managing both the Computational and Theoretical Chemistry and the Computational Chemical Sciences programs within the Office of Basic Energy Sciences.Â
