Tomaz is a second-year PhD student at the University of Colorado Boulder. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from CU Boulder in 2022. As a research assistant at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, Tomaz performed design and analysis of satellite constellation configurations and carried out observing system simulation experiments (OSSES) for low Earth orbit mission concepts. His work was presented at NASA’s Innovative Advanced Concepts Symposium and the American Geophysical Union’s fall 2022 meeting. Additionally, Tomaz was the lead computational analyst for the No Emission Low Drag Airframe design project which demonstrated the feasibility of emissions free general aviation aircraft using near-future electrical technology. Through his studies, Tomaz has become enamored with high speed aerodynamics and hypersonics, and is looking forward to working in the Magnetoaerodynamics and Aerospace Plasmas Laboratory to make advances in the field.
