We seekÌýto develop optical measurement tools that lead to new physicalÌýunderstanding and enable technological and scientificÌýbreakthroughs.Ìý A central theme is the development andÌýuse ofÌýoptical frequency combsÌýfor quantum metrology.ÌýThis includes topics in laser science and engineering,Ìýprecision timing, optical clocks, astronomy, ultrafast lasersÌýand nonlinear optics, nonlinear nano-photonics, microwaveÌýphotonics, and spectroscopy from the UV to THz.Ìý
