Gigi Saad is a Junior from Orange County, California currently majoring in Jewish Studies and minoring in Hebrew & Israel Studies.
Gigi has always exhibited an investment in Jewish education, anticipating a Jewish Studies major prior to undergrad. She is passionate regarding the education of Israel/Palestine and hopes to pursue a graduate degree which allows her to facilitate difficult discussions concerning this topic. Gigi is beginning the process of her Honors Thesis and hopes to graduate with Latin Honors next Spring. Today she appreciates the warmth and support from the Program in Jewish Studies, feeling that her knowledge and understanding is valued and broadened each semester.
Aside from The Student Advisory Board, on campus, Gigi has been involved in Hebrew language tutoring, proctoring exams for Disability Services, Buff Brain Gym Club, and Intramural Sports. Off campus she is preparing to staff Boulder’s Birthright Trip Summer 2023, has taken a myriad of Judaica classes with Boulder Chabad, dedicated time to working with children at the Jewish Community Center, and has been employed as a receptionist for the majority of her undergraduate experience. Gigi says, “I have a drive to better our world and create a brighter tomorrow. The Program in Jewish Studies has equipped me with the tools to do so, not only facilitating successful futures for students within the program, but allowing its students to help create outstanding futures for others. Knowledge is power, and the Program in Jewish Studies endows its students great power for achievement.â€
