Professor Brian Catlos听received a听Guggenheim fellowship to support his work on his听project听An Age of Convergence: Christians, Muslims and Jews in the Pre-Modern Mediterranean,听a culmination of his scholarship to date showing when, how and why members of these three faith communities鈥攚hich hail from Africa, the Middle East and Europe鈥攖ogether laid the foundations of Western modernity.
