Graduate Student Appreciation Week offers a variety of free events, workshops and services to CU Boulder graduate students. 

Join our Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) workshop for students with F-1 visa status to learn more about OPT eligibility requirements; the application timeline and process; and what to expect after OPT has been authorized.

Join our OPT STEM Extension workshop to learn more about the OPT STEM Extension eligibility requirements; the application timeline and process; what to expect after you have submitted your OPT STEM Extension application to USCIS; and the OPT STEM Extension reporting requirements. 

Join our CPT workshop for students with F-1 visa status to learn more about CPT eligibility requirements, the application timeline and request process.

While on OPT, SEVIS reporting is required in order to maintain your F-1 status. This ISSS workshop is meant to help students authorized for OPT better understand their OPT reporting responsibilities. 

International Coffee Hour is a space for international and domestic CU students, staff, and faculty to gather. It is an event to celebrate culture and diversity, and to promote inclusivity on campus. Stop by for some free coffee, snacks, games, and a good time!

MENV will be hosting Food for Thought, where a panel of will be discussing sustainable food and cooking and food justice. We invite our attendees to make their favorite dishes and send in the recipes to make a MENV cookbook! Attendance is limited to 34 students.

The College of Music’s world music ensembles explore artistic identity, intercultural collaboration, global pedagogy, and multidisciplinary approaches to music-making at the College of Music.

Kitchen Table is a monthly gathering that offers leadership and community building opportunities to students identifying as women of color working their way through a predominantly white university. Join us for dinner and women of color community, make new friends or reconnect with folks you already know.

A mobile food pantry will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at St Aidan’s Episcopal Church. Drive through is not available at this mobile food pantry. The mobile food pantry is free and open to CU Boulder students, faculty, and staff as well as community members of Boulder and Broomfield Counties. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The tailgate is free, open to everyone and the perfect place to get ready to cheer on the team, but be sure to register to secure your spot before we reach capacity! Enjoy photo ops, Coach Prime swag giveaways, a visit from Chip and the Spirit Squad, music from the marching band, concession-style food from The Sink, and drinks available for purchase. Come celebrate Coach Prime and the CU Buffs pre-season roar!

The Environmental Center’s Spring 2023 Clothing Swap will be an opportunity for CU Boulder students to clean out their closets and revamp them with something new. Preloved clothing collected from CU students will then be available for other students to take for free.

Take Back the Night (TBTN) is an international march and rally that started in the 1970s as a protest and direct action against sexualized violence and assault. Participants are invited to march on campus and break the silence around sexual assault, intimate partner abuse and domestic violence. The march will be followed by guest speakers, personal stories and a candlelit vigil to honor those who have been affected by this issue, both directly and indirectly.

Spring hiking in Colorado can be beautiful and messy with warm days and cold nights creating wet and sometimes icy conditions on trails across the state. But, with some pre-trip research, the proper gear and a bit of good luck, spring hikes in Boulder County can be some of the best of the year.
