Student Leaders Needed! Call for International Festival Co-Chair Volunteers (edit: positions filled)
The International Festival Committee is looking for dedicated student leaders who are passionate about celebrating the cultural diversity we have here at CU Boulder!
International Festival (IFest) is the largest student organized event on campus and is free and open to public. The event won 'Cultural Event of the Year' in 2018. At the festival, countires, regions, and groups showcase their culture with booths, performances, food samples, and interactive cultural activities. The International Festival Committee is the Registered Student Organization (RSO) responsible for orchestrating the festival every year.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, International Festival took a small hiatus from 2020 to 2021. The IFest committee was proud to bring International Festival back to the CU Boulder campus in 2022! Now, we are starting to plan for IFest 2023 and need student leaders to lead the effort!
IFest Co-Chairs will gain valuable experience in leadership, budget management, cross-cultural communication, and event planning—all great additions to a resume! Aside from a great opportunity for professional development, you will also have the opportunity to form friendships that last a lifetime! The Co-Chairs will have the assistance of the IFest Staff Advisor, Tori Hoeninghausen, to ensure International Festival goes off without a hitch!
If you are interested in serving as a Co-Chair for the IFest Committee for the 22/23 academic year, please email Victoria.Hoeninghausen@Colorado.edu a summary of your previous leadership experience, and a short explanation of why you are interested in serving on the IFest Committee. International and domestic students of any academic level are welcome to serve as Co-Chairs. Thank you for your consideration!
