The UN Summer Challenge is a short-term extracurricular activity for students (graduate programs + final year of undergraduate programs) and recent graduates studying international relations. This activity is designed to apply their theoretical knowledge gained during the academic studies in practice and provide attendees a real hands-on experience across different professional roles in the United Nations. In addition, the course develops substantive knowledge of the UN System and major global trends on the UN agenda and teaches vital skills in negotiation, public speaking, problem solving, conflict resolution, research and communication.

The project will be hosted by the School of International and Public Affairs of the Columbia University and is scheduled for the week May 23 - 29, 2016.
