Susan Bernstein is keynote speaker at Cross Disciplinary Conference

Susan Bernstein is the keynote speaker at this year’s Cross Disciplinary Conference. Her topic is Building Complexes: Reading and Interdisciplinarity. The presentation, sponsored by the CU Humanities Club, is on Thursday April 15 at 5:30 p.m. in Eaton Humanities 1B80.

Susan Bernstein received her doctorate from the Johns Hopkins University, her B.A. from Yale and M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.  She began teaching at Brown in 1989 and is affiliated with the department of Comparative Literature and German Studies. She has particular interests in literary theory, literature and the arts, Romanticism, philosophy and poetry. She has recently completed a book entitled Housing Problems: Writing and Architecture in Goethe, Walpole, Freud, and Heidegger.
