“The Memo: Helpful Tips for Women of Color to Secure a Seat at the Table"

This presentation will be a book review discussing the essential, pragmatic, and necessary guide for women of color to become successful in the workplace. The Author, Minda Harts, rejects the “one-size fits all” approach to becoming successful in the workplace, and speaks to the heart of the complexities that women of color face when attempting to secure a seat at the table. 

  Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand how to center your story on you  
  • Analyze ways to expand your professional “tool kit” to highlight and capitalize on the strengths you bring to your career 
  • Apply strategies to re-define competence, increase confidence to take risks, and own your wins.

CU employee women of color who want to advance professionally and for CU employees that desire to diversify their space and create a culture of inclusion.
